To every thing there is a season, and a time
to every purpose under the heaven...
Ecclesiastes 3:1

The turning of the seasons: Crisp mornings,
the colorful array of foliage,
warm apple cider...these and many
more thoughts come to mind in Autumn.
When I was a little girl I used to
take walks simply to admire the beauty of
the season. I can
remember shuffling my feet through piles of fallen leaves
just
for the pure joy of doing so!
My family and I used to take long drives
simply to see the beautiful foliage. Sometimes stopping at a
road-side apple stand to purchase apples and fresh pressed apple
cider. One of my favourite trips was up to New Hampshire
along
the Kancamagus Highway In the White Mountains.
These memories
are all very precious to me, especially since I'm so very far
away from New England
Autumn is my favorite season. How wonderful
God is to create a
beautiful display for all to admire, before the long cold
New
England winter set in

Have you ever truly taken the time to slow
down and enjoy the beauty God
has set before us? Life is too
short to take such things for granted! How wondrous that God
turns the beginning winter slumber of this Earth into a thing of
beauty to behold!
Golden yellows, burnt orange, flame red...just
take a moment to admire God's handy work!
Do you remember collecting leaves in Autumn? I
remember taking such care to collect just the right leaves,
bringing them home and pressing them between layers of wax paper
to seal them.
If you have children and live in an area where the
leaves do change colors,
why not give this little project a try.
It's not the project itself that is
important, but the time you
will share with your children
Remember to be thankful for what you have and take time to enjoy
the life
that has been given you
