This page is dedicated to the Men and Women who proudly serve our Country. And the families who support them

I pray for all the troops involved in this endeavor. God bless you all and keep you safe!
I believe in the freedoms we Americans have the pleasure of experiencing. But I'd gladly give up some of these freedoms in order to keep the United States of America safer from terrorists! People who feel the need to burn this countrys flag have no right to live here. Those who feel serving in our Military is a foul endeavour again have no right to live here. It's about time that we as Americans take a stand for this country we live in. In other words...if you don't like MY country get out!
I personally feel that Congress should reinstate the Draft. I feel each and every able bodied American, should be expected to serve in a brance of our Armed Forces. All who expect to have protection from our Nations Military should have to serve, at least one term, defending Our Nation! Whether they be male or female!
These are MY personal opinions - you do not have to agree with them
We are a Retired U.S. Navy family and have enjoyed traveling around this great country
I am very proud of my Husband! He has worn his uniform with great pride for 23 years!. It was trying at times and wonderful at others. Along the way we made many friends. Some we have lost touch with, other's we have kept in touch with

If you have ever wondered what it's like to be a Military Wife, well the following poem sums it up pretty well
Recipe for a Military Wife
1 1/2 cups Patience
1 lb. Adaptability
3/4 cup Tolerance
1 tsp. Courage
A Dash of Adventure
Combine above ingrdients: Add 2 tablespoons elbow grease. Let sit alone for one year. Marinate frequently with slaty tears. Pour off excess fat. Sprinkle lightly with money. "Knead" dough until payday. Season with international spices. Bake 20 years or until done.....Dedicated.....to military wives everywhere, who have waved "good-bye: more often than not, who have heated up more dinners than most wives cook, who have missed more anniversaries, birthdays, Christmases and Valentine's Days than they should have, and most important of all have welcomed their husbands home GLADLY

The Lord's Prayer for Navy Spouses
Lord, Grant me the greatness of heart to see,
The difference in duty and his love for me.
Give me the understanding to know,
That when duty calls he must go.
Give me a task to do each day,
to fill the time when he is away.
And Lord when duty is far away,
Please protect him, this I pray.

The Ten commandments of a Military Wife
1. Thou shalt not write in ink in thy address book
2. Thou shalt not covet choice assignments of other uniformed branches of service
3. Love thy neighbor (Tis easier if thou buyest a house on a corner)
4. Honor thy Commissary and Exchange for as long as they both shall live
5. Thou shalt not ridicule a local politician, for mighty Senators from local politicians grow
6. Thou shalt look for the best in every assignment, even though the best may be The Worlds Biggest Cockroaches or Record Snow in One Month's Time or Most Childhood Diseases Experienced in One Year
7. Thou shalt remember all thy friends from all thy assignments with greetings at Christmas, for thou never knowest when thou might like to spendeth the night with them while enroute to a new duty station
8. Be kind and gentle to retired, white-haired Exchange and Commissary customers, because thou too will be a retiree someday
9. Thou shalt not curse thy active duty spouse who is off TAD on Moving Day
10. Thou must never arrive at a new assignment and constantly brag about how everything was much better at thy last assignment

To me the 4th of July is much more than parades, picnics and fireworks. To me it means Independence. Our for-Fathers fought for our freedom and my husband and many other fine men and women do so each day, while serving our Country. Keeping freedom here on the home-front while putting themselves in harms way. May God bless each of you and return you home safely to your loved ones!
